What are the import and export equipment in supermarkets?

When it comes to supermarket entry systems, the two most common types of sensors used in automatic doors are infrared and radar sensing. Both have their own unique features and ways of detecting movement. For infrared sensing systems, you’ll often notice a small barrier post near the main column where the door swings open. This post contains a sensor in its center, and typically there’s an infrared emitter on one side and a reflector on the other, similar to a bike tail light. When everything is aligned, the emitted red light reflects back to complete the circuit. As soon as a customer walks past, the infrared beam gets interrupted, triggering the sensor in the main column to send a signal to open the door. It’s precise but requires proper alignment to function correctly. Radar sensing systems, on the other hand, might seem more seamless because they don’t require visible barriers upfront. The sensor is directly mounted on the main column, creating an invisible detection zone that extends roughly a meter outwards. No matter if you're walking straight toward the door or approaching from the side, as long as you’re within this detection area, the system will pick up your presence and send a signal to open the door. It’s a bit more flexible than infrared since it doesn't rely on line-of-sight. In busy supermarkets, both technologies help manage foot traffic efficiently. Infrared tends to work better in environments with fewer obstacles, while radar sensors can handle more complex situations without being blocked by objects like shopping carts. Over time, I’ve noticed that some stores mix and match these technologies depending on the layout and flow of customers. For instance, during peak hours, the radar system might handle more of the high-traffic areas, while infrared could be reserved for narrower entrances or specific sections. It’s fascinating how these little details make such a big difference in how smoothly we shop!
