Four Bohai Bay Port Coal Inventories 17.013 million tons

Four Bohai Bay Port Coal Inventories 17.013 million tons Last week, from December 10 to December 16, coal inventories at the four major ports in the Bohai Rim dropped slightly, from 17.978 million tons to 17.013 million tons. This marks a reduction of 176,000 tons, or a 1.02% decline compared to the previous week. As of December 16, the coal stock levels at each port were as follows: Qinhuangdao Port held 6.59 million tons, Caofeidian Port (SDIC) had 4.09 million tons, Jingtang Port reported 3.5 million tons, and Tianjin Port recorded 2.833 million tons. Compared to the prior week, Qinhuangdao and Jingtang Ports saw reductions in their stock levels, while Caofeidian and Tianjin Ports experienced increases. Looking at the number of vessels waiting to be loaded at the anchorages of the four ports, there was a noticeable rise. As of December 16, the total number of ships waiting to load at the Bohai Rim ports reached 147. Specifically, Qinhuangdao Port had 61 ships, Jingtang Port had 34, Tianjin Port had 28, and Caofeidian Port had 24. The increase in vessel numbers suggests growing demand for coal shipments. With high inventory levels at downstream power plants, the available days of coal supply for major thermal power stations have improved. However, despite this, steam coal prices at the four Bohai ports continue to face downward pressure due to weak demand and oversupply concerns. This data reflects the ongoing balance between supply and demand in the region’s coal market, with further monitoring needed to track any shifts in price trends or inventory movements.
