Recently, the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory for Advanced Preparation Technology of Superhard Materials was officially launched at Kunming University of Science and Technology. This event marked a significant milestone in international academic collaboration, especially between China and Russia. During the ceremony, several distinguished guests were present, including a foreign academician from the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, foreign experts participating in the "Thousand Talents Program" under the Chinese Central Organization Department, and Professor Victor Chethogin from the Southern Russian State Technical University.
Professor Victor Chethogin presented the Foreign Academician Certificate of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences to Professor Peng Jinhui from Kunming University of Science and Technology, highlighting the mutual recognition and respect between the two nations' scientific communities. In addition, the Key Laboratory of Unconventional Metallurgy under the Ministry of Education at Kunming University of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute of Superhard Materials at the Russian National Technical University and the Moscow Institute of Innovation and Technology. Together, they established the Sino-Russian Joint Laboratory for Advanced Preparation Technology of Superhard Materials.
Under the terms of the cooperation agreement, both parties will work closely in the fields of microwave technology and superhard material preparation. They will jointly establish laboratories, conduct joint research, and promote academic exchanges, personnel training, and management practices in the application of superhard materials, metallurgy, and microwave technologies. The partnership also includes mutual visits, technical support, and equipment sharing to enhance their collaborative efforts.
