How to install SPC stone plastic lock floor

SPC Stone Plastic Lock Flooring Installation Instructions Before beginning the installation of your SPC stone plastic lock flooring, there are several important prerequisites to ensure a smooth and successful process. First and foremost, the surface on which you plan to install the flooring must meet specific requirements. The ground needs to be perfectly level, with a slope of less than 3 millimeters over a distance of 1 meter. It’s crucial that the floor is entirely dry, stable, flat, and free of any debris. This type of flooring can be installed on various existing surfaces, including concrete floors, ceramic tiles, wooden floors, woven floors, and even PVC tiles, provided they are flat. However, it is not recommended to install it on soft surfaces like carpets. To successfully complete the installation, you’ll need some basic tools: a tape measure, a cutting machine, a hammer, a knock block, and glass glue. These tools will help you achieve a precise fit and finish. Now, let’s move on to the installation process itself. Begin by starting at one corner of the wall and laying the tongue side of the board against it. Leave a 10mm gap between the wall and the short side of the board. Next, align the subsequent board at an angle with the short side of the preceding board. Push it forward gently and lay it flat on the ground. Repeat this step to complete the first row. The final piece in the row should be trimmed to the appropriate length, maintaining the 10mm gap from the wall. Start the second row using the leftover pieces from the first row, ensuring they’re at least 300mm long. For the next row, align the tongue edges of the new boards with the grooves in the previous row at an angle. Push the board forward while laying it flat. Then, angle the short side of the board with the already installed board and snap it into place. Ensure that the new board locks securely with the previous one. To secure the boards, lift them slightly (about 30mm) along with the previously installed board in the prior row, and press them firmly into place. Adjust the distance between the floor and the wall to 10mm once three rows have been installed. Continue this process until the entire floor is completed. When it comes to moisture protection, it’s essential to leave expansion gaps around walls, pipes, and doorframes. For rooms larger than 100 square meters (length and width exceeding 10 meters), additional expansion gaps should be considered. Ensure a minimum of 13mm clearance between the bottom of doors and the floor to prevent wear during normal operation. Moisture-prone areas, such as those with cement or ceramic tiles, require a moisture barrier underneath the flooring. Once the product arrives at the installation site, store it in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight and humidity. The flooring should remain unopened for at least 48 hours before installation to acclimate to room temperature. Throughout the process, place heavy items like bundles of boards on the newly connected sections to stabilize them. The finished floor height is approximately 11.5mm, with the cork underlayment adding another 1mm. For best results, customers should reserve a height of 12mm, taking into account specific details like door thresholds, wall corners, and heating covers. By following these steps and guidelines, you’ll achieve a professional-looking installation that will last for years. Remember, proper preparation and attention to detail are key to a successful outcome.
