Before starting the installation, there are several key points to keep in mind:
1. **Ground Preparation**: Ensure the surface is completely dry, smooth, and free of debris. The ground should have a slope of less than 3mm over a distance of 1 meter. The floor can be installed over existing cement, ceramic tiles, wooden floors, or other flat surfaces, but not on soft materials like carpets.
2. **Tools Needed**: Prepare essential tools such as a measuring tape, cutting machine, hammer, alignment blocks, and glass adhesive.
**Installation Process**:
1. Begin laying the flooring from the corner of the wall. Place the tongue side of the plank against the wall, leaving a 10mm gap between the wall and the edge of the board.
2. Align the next plank at an angle with the short side of the previous plank. Press the plank forward gently and lay it flat. Continue this process to complete the first row. Cut the final piece to fit snugly, ensuring a 10mm gap remains between the wall and the floor. Start the second row using leftover pieces from the first row that are longer than 300mm.
3. Align the tongue of the new row with the groove of the previous row at an angle. Press the plank forward while laying it flat.
4. Match the short side of the plank at an angle with the already installed plank and fold it down securely. Ensure this plank locks properly with the adjacent one.
5. Slightly lift the plank (along with the previously installed plank in the preceding row, approximately 30mm) and press it into place. Once three rows are installed, adjust the distance between the floor and the wall to 10mm. Repeat this process until the entire area is covered.
**Key Installation Tips**:
1. Leave an expansion gap of about 10mm around walls, pipes, and door frames. In larger rooms (over 100 square meters), additional expansion gaps should be created. Ensure there’s a minimum gap of 13mm between the door and the floor to prevent wear during operation.
2. Install the flooring over damp-proof subfloors such as cement or ceramic tiles, ensuring a moisture barrier is laid beneath.
3. Store the product in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep the packaging intact for at least 48 hours before installation to acclimate the product to room temperature.
4. Place heavy objects (like bundles of planks) on recently joined sections to stabilize them.
5. Consider the height difference when installing. The lock-type moisture-proof underlayment is 1mm thick, and the floor itself is 10.5mm high, totaling 11.5mm. Adjust accordingly based on the contact areas, especially near door thresholds, baseboards, and uneven surfaces.
