How to choose the correct degreaser

How to choose the correct degreaser

Matters needing attention when using degreaser

Before degreasing, the choice of degreaser and the following aspects should be considered:

Material of the part being processed

Different metals have different corrosion limits in lye. Therefore, it is necessary to select a suitable pH degreasing agent according to the material of the part.

The correct choice of degreaser

Different degreasing methods require different degreasers. Pressure spray degreasing has great mechanical force and good degreasing effect. However, since it is in a state of easy foaming, it is necessary to use a low foam degreasing agent. Therefore, it is necessary to use a degreasing agent with better degreasing performance. Degreaser content and prolonged degreasing time.

Type and quantity of oil

It is necessary to consider the chemical nature of the oil on the part (whether it can react with the surrounding medium during storage to affect the degreasing, and whether the degreasing solution can be saponified), and then choose a suitable degreasing agent. For example, animal and vegetable oils are saponifiable, and thus it is effective to degrease with sodium hydroxide at a higher temperature. Mineral oil does not undergo saponification reaction, and it is not suitable to degrease with sodium hydroxide. It is effective to use a degreasing agent with good emulsifying properties.

Degreasing effect check

There are many methods for checking the degreasing effect, for example, a visual method, a wiping method, a contact angle method, a copper sulfate method, a residual oil mass method, a colorimetric method, an infrared spectroscopy method, and the like. The most commonly used method is the water infiltration method, which is to observe the continuous integrity of the surface water film after degreasing water washing. In the case of normal phosphating conditions, the phosphating film can also be examined for degreasing effect. Only a non-oily metal surface can form a uniform and uniform phosphating film, and any cleaning defects will be immediately revealed.

Pay attention to the cooperation with the next process

Whether the next process is pickling or phosphating, and whether there is a surface conditioning process before phosphating, is related to the selection of the degreasing agent. Because the different pretreatments are combined with phosphating, the quality of the obtained phosphating membranes is different and the quality is different. The acidification of pickling and strong base degreasing is large and loose. For degreasing, if the next process is a thin phosphating treatment, a low alkalinity degreaser with a surface conditioning treatment should be used; if the next process is pickling and rust removal, it is not necessary to use a degreaser with a surface adjustment. For the surface where the oil is heavy or difficult to clean, the manual pre-scrubbing should be adopted. Not only is it the requirement of degreasing, but also the phosphating quality can be obviously improved. The pre-scoured phosphating film is fine and dense, without pre-preparation. The scrubbed crystals are much coarser.

Flange is a method of connecting pipes valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system.Application: oil,

chemical industry, water conservancy, electric power, boiler, machinery,  metallurgy, sanitary, construction etc.

Blind Flange

A blind flange is a round plate which has all of the relevant blowholes except center hole, and because of this feature the blind flange is usually used to close off the ends of a piping systems and pressure vessel openings. It also permits easy access to the interior of a line or vessel once it has been sealed and must be reopened.
Without the blind flange it would be difficult to perform maintenance or repairs on a pipeline. The flow would need to be s

hut off at the nearest valve, which could be miles away from the repair area. Valves are also very expensive and are prone to sticking. The blind flange is a much more cost efficient way of sealing a pipe.
Blind Flanges are commonly used in petrochemical, pipe engineering, public services and water treatment etc.
