Chengwaicheng and Huari Group join forces to build the largest high-end European and American home furnishing museum

On December 1, Chengwaicheng, a renowned home furnishings retailer in Beijing, announced a strategic partnership with Huari Group to co-create the largest high-end European and American home furnishing museum. This collaboration marks a significant step in Chengwaicheng’s expansion strategy and signals a growing trend in the market for European and American furniture. The new "International Pavilion" will be the largest single space dedicated to European and American home furnishings in Beijing and possibly the entire country. With an area of 50,000 square meters and an investment exceeding 200 million yuan, the pavilion is designed as a European-style park, featuring four floors that showcase imported furniture and top domestic and international brands. Liu Changhe, Chairman of Chengwaicheng, emphasized that the scale of the project allows for better brand representation and a more immersive shopping experience. The project is part of Chengwaicheng’s broader business transformation and growth plan, aiming to solidify its position in the luxury home furnishings sector. Huari Group, the strategic investor behind the project, has a long-standing relationship with Chengwaicheng. While Huari is known for its furniture operations, it has expanded into real estate, finance, and energy sectors. According to Zhou Xuen, Chairman of Huari Group, the International Pavilion is a key investment for their company, reflecting their deep commitment to the home furnishings industry. The response from merchants has been overwhelmingly positive, with over 100 brands expressing interest in setting up shop in the pavilion. Many have already paid deposits and reserved spaces, indicating strong confidence in the project's potential. Industry experts believe that European and American furniture is poised for a major growth phase. Rising consumer demand for high-end, personalized home furnishings, along with improved living standards and increased exposure to global trends, are driving this shift. As traditional furniture categories like panel and solid wood reach saturation, European and American styles are becoming increasingly popular among affluent consumers. With the official opening of the International Pavilion scheduled for next May, the project is expected to become a landmark in Beijing’s home furnishings scene, offering a comprehensive one-stop destination for premium European and American furniture. This move not only enhances Chengwaicheng’s market presence but also sets a new standard for luxury home décor in China.
