Wet curtain construction

The wet curtain, also known as a water curtain, is a unique honeycomb structure made from processed raw paper. The manufacturing process typically includes several key steps such as sizing, drying, corrugating, shaping, gluing, solidifying, cutting, grinding, and deodorizing. These processes ensure the final product is both durable and efficient in its function.

In China, wet curtains are commonly available with three standard wave heights: 5mm, 7mm, and 9mm. The corrugation patterns vary, including 60°×30° staggered and opposite designs, as well as 45°×45° staggered configurations. These different structures help optimize the curtain's performance in various applications.

High-quality wet curtains are now made using advanced polymer materials and space cross-linking technology. This innovation brings significant improvements in water absorption, resistance to moisture, mold prevention, and overall durability. These curtains offer superior cooling efficiency, reaching over 80%, without the need for surfactants. They absorb water naturally and distribute it quickly—within 4 to 5 seconds. According to international standards, their water absorption rate should be between 60–70mm/5 minutes or 200mm/1.5 hours.

Unlike older versions, modern high-quality wet curtains are free from harmful chemicals like phenol, which can cause skin allergies. They are safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. Once installed, they provide a green, energy-efficient cooling solution that is both cost-effective and long-lasting. Whether used in industrial or residential settings, these curtains deliver excellent performance while maintaining a low environmental impact.
