Nissan and Foster + Partners collaborated on the concept of Fuel Station of the Future, which is different from traditional gas stations. The family, the street, and the city constitute a unified and integrated development. Through the combination of technologies such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G), battery storage, wireless charging, autopilot, and OTA connectivity, revolutionary changes have been made to the “refueling†of vehicles.
Nissan and Foster Architects believe that the future of motor vehicles will fully use electricity as energy, and in the process of moving to pure electric vehicles must create a new "oil supply system." Nissan said: "The integration of zero-emissions technology into the built environment is an important key to creating a smarter, sustainable city. Whatever we do now must develop around this goal, and we must strive to achieve this commitment. Far more than electric cars."
In Nissan's design philosophy, the wireless sensor system will be deployed to the city's infrastructure so that the electric vehicle can be charged even while driving. This means that home charging systems will not be necessary. Nissan’s senior product strategy manager, Richard Cnadler, said independent infrastructure will probably become history.
