Teach you three tricks to identify serious fake teak flooring

In the floor decoration wood floor is a high-grade decorative materials, and teak flooring with moisture-proof, anti-mite, excellent stability characteristics, is the best in the floor. Teak is a precious tree species and its materials are very rare. It is produced in Southeast Asia, such as Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and India. There are also some areas near China's Yunnan border, among which teak produced in Myanmar is the top grade. Although teak is also found in Africa and the Americas, because of the different climate in the planting regions, the growth cycle of the trees is short, the trees can be matured within 10 years, the oil quality is relatively low, and the rich teak oil characteristics have been lost. The materials are dry and brittle. Therefore, the use of "African teak" or "South American teak" wood floor processing is in fact not really teakwood floor, and there is a market called "Teak King" floor, in fact, is extracted from the wood. There are also a handful of unscrupulous operators who use teaspoon teak wood tea to take profits.

It can be seen from this that there are serious counterfeit teak floors on the market. Is there no way to identify it? According to the author's experience with teak, consumers can identify from the following aspects. Because the wood grain, color, and even grain density of the two are very similar, it is really difficult to distinguish. In fact, consumers can identify authenticity when buying teak floors. Despite the similar appearance and density of Manglietia japonica and teak, due to different materials, there are still large differences between the two. Taking unpainted prime plates as an example, the following simple identification methods are available:

The first is to look at the smoothness of the floor surface, the surface of the teak floor is very smooth, feel very delicate, as if soaked in oil, while the black core of Manglietia is relatively rough;

Followed by the smell, teak itself emits a sour taste, similar to the smell after the rice cooker, and the black core of manglietia does not have this smell. Dividing two drops of water from the water absorbency on the false teak floor, the water is quickly absorbed, and the teak floor is dripping on the unpainted place. The teakwood floor absorbs water slowly and almost no water absorption.

In addition, from the point of sawdust, sawdust on a real teak floor has a heavy oily texture, and it has a soft feeling when squeezed by hand, while sawdust on a false teak floor is dry and loose.

In addition to the above methods, if conditions allow, a small piece of dry ground board may be used for burning. Teak smoke is dense and large, while black lotus is less; or a small amount of water is sprinkled on the floor surface if water is not absorbed. The beaded teak wood is absorbed by the black core of Manglietia; the floor can be soaked in water for 24 hours to observe its change, and if distortion, swelling, or other deformation occurs, the black core of the lotus is not found. Any change is teak.
