On the afternoon of July 25th, 2012, a lecture entitled “Green Creative Design + Energy Saving Technology” organized by “Architectural Arts” magazine and co-organized by Zhulong Network was held at China Architecture Design and Research Institute. Dr. Hao Lin, Partner of Directors and Sustainability Design Director of Oval Consulting and Integer Intelligent & Green, and Dr. Xiangwei Zhong, Director of Environmental Technology and Director of Green Building Technology Center of China International Engineering Corporation, gave speeches and introduced their own Research results. After the speech, several architects participated in the Green Building Salon and discussed about green building and sustainable development.

Hao Lin's speech was entitled "Creative and Green Future - China's Green Building and Urban Planning Leading the World". The architectural projects hosted and studied by Hao Lin in recent years are all thinking about the sustainable development of the environment, building materials, and architecture. They aim to promote social transformation, creative industry development, lifestyle changes, ecological and healthy environment in China with creative and environmentally friendly design. . He also introduced the Innhouse Hidden House Eco Hotel, Integer Bamboo House IN's House Bamboo House, Chinese Children's Clubs KPMG Ankang Homestead, Integer eco town IN's Home Eco City, Zhejiang Anji Bamboo Center, Xinyi International Hengqin Island Ecology Planning, Yunnan Ecological Forest Village Planning, Zhejiang Huzhou Ecological Park Planning, Pylon Cat's Cradle Pylon Transmission Tower Design and other design projects.

The key theme of Xiang Weizhong’s speech was “Energy Saving and Environmental Design Technology of Green Building”. He believes that the organic combination of modern analysis technology and architectural design technology can effectively improve the level of architectural design in China. It is the only way for China's design technology to move from "extensive" to "fine". The application of traditional analytical methods can not be detailed and detailed analysis, and the application of modern analytical techniques can be a comprehensive comparative analysis of various programs at various stages of the design to find the best solution. He also explained the significance of the analysis technology for building energy conservation and environmental design through the project of the Zhongyuan Green Building Technology Center in the past year. He introduced residential wind environment and natural ventilation analysis, building dynamic energy analysis, building sunshine analysis, curtain wall analysis, natural space ventilation and air conditioning design for high space, analysis of cooling capacity of tunnels, data center space and airflow organization design. The major projects covered include Shijiazhuang Exhibition and Convention Center, Zhuzhou Grand Theatre, China Aviation Information Center, Haikou Tower, People's Liberation Army Headquarters, Hainan Branch, New Zhongyuan Building, and Tongzhou** (bidding).

After the lecture, under the auspices of Hao Lin, Mr. Gu Wei, Chief Architect of Northern Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., Ni Yang, Chief Designer of Extreme Decoration Design Engineering Co., Ltd., and General Designer Sun Zhonghuan Sun Hansong, Director of the International Energy Planning Department of Jiehe and Huatong, Liu Peng, Director of the Center for Green Design Research of the Chinese Architectural Design and Research Institute, Li Zheng, Senior City Designer at Atkins, and Li Gang, Architect of the In-Place Design, and Wu Gang, the Chief Architect of Vesping, “Continuous urban and architectural connotations and significance in China”, “The future direction of green cities and buildings” and “What kind of perspectives are needed for China's green practices” are discussed.

Hao Lin

He received bachelor's degree, master's degree, and doctorate in architecture from Tsinghua University, Berkeley, University of California, and Cambridge University, UK. He has worked in San Francisco, United Kingdom, London, Cambridge, Hong Kong and Mainland China for more than ten years. His pioneering projects have won international awards, such as the RIBA International Award and World Construction News. WAN Award; DFAA Asia's Most Influential Design Award, Hong Kong Architects Association Award, Perspective Award Design Grand Prize and Sustainable Architecture Award, Asia Pacific Real Estate Architecture Award, GBA Green Building Award, Hong Kong Return of Monuments International competition awards. Hao Lin is also the winner of the China Children's Charity Award issued by the Central Government in 2011. He is currently the deputy chief editor of China's "Eco City and Green Building" magazine and is the editor-in-chief of "World Architecture" magazine. He is also an honorary tutor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently residing in Hong Kong.

Xiang Weizhong

Dr. Brunel University, UK, Royal Chartered Engineer. He was the chief expert and associate director of Fluid Analysis and Building Energy Analysis at Hoare Lea Consulting Engineers, a 150-year-old electrical engineering consultancy company in the UK. He has completed major business centers in Cardiff, the London Convention and Exhibition Center, Leeds Eastgate & Harewood Quarter, Heathrow Airport Future Project, UK 2012 Olympic Games Project, Oxford University Science Park, Bank of America Data Center, Abu Dhabi Luxury Hotel and many other large-scale energy analysis and energy-saving design, indoor environment analysis and design, Natural ventilation analysis design, smoke analysis design, wind environment analysis and design. In July 2011, he joined Zhongyuan International and actively promoted green building energy saving and environmental design technologies and refined design concepts based on computer numerical analysis. This concept has become the focus of the future development of Zhongyuan International. During this period, he engaged in or completed the green energy analysis and environmental design work for more than a dozen large and medium-sized construction projects.
