Chemical plant requirements for the pump

1, must meet the requirements of process parameters such as flow, lift, pressure, temperature, NPSH 2, must meet the requirements of the characteristics of the medium: (1) For the pump conveying flammable, explosive, toxic or precious medium, shaft Seal reliable or non-leaky pump, such as shielded pumps, magnetic drive pumps, diaphragm pumps. (3) For pumps containing solid particulate media, wear-resistant materials are required for overcurrent components, and if necessary, the shaft seal should be rinsed with a cleaning fluid. 3, must meet the site installation requirements: (1) installed in the presence of corrosive gases pump, require measures taken to prevent atmospheric corrosion. (2) For the pump installed in the outdoor environment below -20 ℃, it is required to consider the cold and brittleness of the pump and adopt the low temperature resistant material. (3) For the pump installed in the explosion area, explosion-proof motor should be used according to the explosion area level. (4) For plants that require major overhauls every year, the continuous cycle of pump operation should not be less than 8000 hours. In order to meet the requirements of 3-year major overhaul, API610 (Eighth Edition) stipulates that the continuous operation cycle of the pumps for petroleum, heavy chemical and gas industries shall be at least 3 years. (5) The design life of the pump is generally at least 10 years. API 610 (Eighth Edition) requires a design life of at least 20 years for centrifugal pumps for the petroleum, heavy chemical and gas industries. (6) The design, manufacture and inspection of the pump shall comply with the relevant standards and norms. The commonly used standards and specifications are shown in Table 1-1. (7) The pump factory should ensure that the pump performance in the power supply voltage, frequency range. China's supply voltage and frequency range of variation: Voltage 380V ± 10%, 6000V + 5%, - 7% Frequency 50Hz ± 0.5% (8) To determine the pump model and manufacturer, should consider the pump performance, energy consumption , Reliability, price and manufacturing specifications and other factors.
