In an old workshop of the Guangxi Sanhuan Group, the largest daily-use ceramics manufacturer in the region, the annual production capacity of a converted furnace reached 15 million pieces. In Beiliu City, such enterprises abound. According to official statistics, there are 54 domestic ceramics production enterprises above designated size, with more than 60,000 employees, an annual production capacity of 1.3 billion, and an annual output value of more than 3 billion yuan***.

Beiliu also owns about 5,000 professional ceramics technicians, as well as provincial-level daily-use ceramics engineering and technology research centers and provincial-level daily-use ceramics product quality supervision and inspection centers. The Beiliu Ceramics Industrial Park, which has been planned for construction since 2003, has developed rapidly. By the end of 2010, there have been more than 40 ceramics and related enterprises in the park, with an annual output of over 500 million ceramics for daily use.

The quality of daily-use ceramics produced by Beiliu is mainly characterized by “white jade, thin paper, and sound-like”. It is popular in the market and produces more than 20,000 varieties including Chinese cutlery, Western cutlery, tea sets and coffee sets. According to He Dongzhen, Mayor of Beiliu City, more than 90% of Beiliu ceramic products are exported to more than 80 countries and regions such as Europe, USA, East Asia, and Southeast Asia, and daily ceramic exports account for more than 70% of Guangxi, accounting for about 7 %, has become one of the four major production bases and important export bases for daily-use ceramics in China.

Compared with the famous ceramics in Jingdezhen and Other places, the Beiliu ceramics are slightly slim. The local community has already increased its popularity through activities such as the Ceramic Culture Festival. This year, it is the first time to host a ceramics fair sponsored by the China Ceramic Industry Association. Mayor He Dongzhen said that from the Cultural Festival to the Expo, the Beiliu Ceramics Industry is gradually expanding its influence on the basis of looking for ceramics industry to accelerate the development of "real gold and silver" in order to enhance the quality of industry development, promote the Chinese ceramic culture and revitalize the Chinese ceramics .

According to the plan, by 2015, the daily production of daily-use ceramics in Beiliu City will reach 3 billion pieces, and the building ceramics will reach 80 million square meters. The annual output value will exceed 13 billion yuan***.
