The Indian machine tool market is still relatively young, and the demand for steel band saws is growing. ITL, based in Indore, began producing simple sawing machines in 1986. Now ITL is the only manufacturer in India that can produce and develop high-speed belt sawing machines.

In 1996, ITL established a partnership with KASTO in Germany to produce modern, high-speed sawing machines in India. In 1999, the production of machined tubular models was introduced. Today, ITL can provide 60 band sawing dies with a cutting depth of 100-2000mm. The product line includes a circular sawing machine with NC control.

Solutions for all machine tools
ITL is looking for a suitable automation control partner that needs to have integrated products and the ability to provide system solutions for all machine tools. The servo system can be accurately positioned in the μm range and requires torque limiting or torque control for cutting. With the multi-turn EnDat encoder, there is no need to find or assist the measurement system.

Currently, two models equipped with B&R control system solutions have been put into production. The first model is a band saw.

Typically, band saws are available for a variety of products that require precise cutting. The compact Power Panel for use on this model integrates the HMI and PLC. This panel has control, visualization, and I/O processing capabilities.

The second model is a high speed circular sawing machine. In addition to high-speed cutting, this machine has a wide range of applications superior to other machine tools. Various types of iron, alloys and other non-ferrous metals such as bronze, brass and aluminum can be used for precise cutting.

B&R's compact controller, universal program
The Power Panel can also be used as a control core for this model. In addition, each device is equipped with 2 axes. All components (logic, visualization, and motion control) are written and implemented by Automation Studio software.
