The reason of high motor current of driving centrifugal pump and its treatment method

Driver current is high for the following reasons: 1, the relative density and viscosity of process media beyond the target. Approach: Check the material components to the viscosity and relative density and design value is consistent, by the process operator to adjust. 2, electrical failure. Approach: Check the circuit breaker heater setting, check the voltage, the three-phase current should be balanced, the error is not more than 3%. 3, When the pump starts, the outlet valve is fully open and the resistance inside the outlet pipe is too small. Approach: The outlet valve is closed, the pump starts slowly open the outlet valve. 4, balance pipe is not smooth. Approach: clear the balance tube. 5, the pump assembly is not good, the static part of the friction or stuck. Approach: re-assembly of the pump, check with the clearance, bearing clearance, mechanical seal positioning, and strictly in accordance with the design requirements to be adjusted.
