The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development jointly research the green building materials industry

In order to implement the spirit of promoting the positive interaction between industrialization and urbanization and vigorously building an ecological civilization, the Party has implemented the “Green Building Action Plan” to guide the development of the green building materials industry and promote the structural adjustment of the building materials industry. Recently, the industry and informatization Deputy Director of the Department of Raw Materials, Pan Aihua, and Deputy Director of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Standardization, Song Youchun, jointly led a research group to Beijing Jinrong Tianjin Concrete and Zhenxing Cement to promote structural adjustment of concrete and cement products, accelerate the development of green building materials, and promote Building materials industry and construction industry to carry out energy-saving emission reduction and other on-site research.

The research team points out that the next step is to do the following work well: First, give priority to the building materials that are required for green buildings and have a large amount of materials, and accelerate the research and development of its green certification standards and certification methods. The second is to gradually publish and publish the green building materials catalogue, guide the development of green building materials, and support the construction of green buildings. The third is to focus on linkages between production and use, accelerate the revision of existing standards and norms that are not conducive to the promotion of green products, and use advanced standards to encourage technological advancement of green building materials and accelerate industrial development and transformation and upgrading. The current focus is to guide the development and utilization of high-performance concrete and high-strength steel bars.
