In the first four months of 2011, sales of household appliances to the countryside were 39.15 million units, and sales reached 94.43 billion yuan, an increase of 91% and 128% year-on-year respectively. Among them, sales of 3.288 million units in April, sales of 8.72 billion yuan, down 31% and 12% respectively. As of the end of April 2011, a total of 154 million units of home appliances were sold to rural areas, which achieved sales of 336.03 billion yuan and accumulated subsidies of 39.17 billion yuan.

Judging from the category of products, color TV sets and refrigerators accounted for the top two sales, which together accounted for 58% of the total sales. From the sales region, Henan and Shandong provinces are the two provinces with sales exceeding RMB 10 billion, which together achieved sales of RMB 22.59 billion. It accounts for a quarter of the country.
