Commonly used abbreviations in aluminum electrolysis

[China Aluminum Network] Nowadays, the center blanking prebaking tanks are in the direction of large-scale development. However, the current pre-baking tanks are by no means a simple historical repetition, but rather are developed in the direction of large-scale, high-current, automatic cutting, and the use of electronic computers to control the modern and new channels of advanced science and technology. The main operation of the center blanking prebaked cell is (Chinese-English):

NB - timing feeding.

RC - slot resistance (voltage) adjustment.

AC - anode replacement.

AE - effect.

AEB - effect extinguished.

TAP - Aluminium.

RR - lifts the bus.

iRRFEED - Edge feeding operation.

ALESA - dense phase delivery.

IVAN - ultra dense phase delivery.

MTVV - Aluminum Level RMS.

AEVV - effective number of effects.

Gate Valves

Gate Valves are called "full-flow" valves; there's a direct unobstructed path for flow right through the middle of the valve. A wedge-shaped brass gate is lowered into a machined slot to close the valve. They should either be completely open or completely closed. Water flowing through a partially open gate valve wears away the metal and causes the valve to fail over time.
