Canada has recently become the first country in the world to list bisphenol A in the list of toxic substances. A recently completed study showed that most Canadians have plastic additives in their bodies and the Canadian government made this decision.
However, the Australian Food and Consumer Products Council believes that there is no scientific basis to prove that the use of bisphenol A in the lining of food cans is harmful to health.
