Hffr Compound for Signal Cable

Introduction
EPchem® AFRC/20-C is polyolefin based material containing inorganic flame retardant, antioxidant, lubricant, etc., produced by mixing, plasticizing and then pelletizing. AFRC/20-C is appropriate for power cables, signal cables and so on.
AFRC/20-C is excellent in mechanical properties, flame retardant performance, outstanding resistance to cracking and weather, low shrinkage and good processability.

Processing
AFRC/20-C has good processing performance, can be well processed using PVC and Polyethylene standard extrusion screw, preferring a low compression ratio (1.2 ~ 1.8) screw for the best extrusion effect. Extruder should be equipped with an adequate barrel thermoregulation. In general we recommend the following processing conditions:

• Extruder L/D: 20~25
• Filter (mesh): 30~60
• Temperature setting:

     Zone1    Zone2    Zone3   Zone4    Zone5      Die
    110ºC   120ºC   135ºC  145ºC   150ºC   150~165ºC
The above temperatures are for reference only, but should be adjusted depending on specific equipment. But the melting temperature should not exceed 170ºC.
AFRC/20-C includes black and natural color. Users are free to add color masterbatches to natural color material. The suggested weight ratio is 1.5% or so.
            
Storage
These compounds must be stored under the following conditions:

1. closed and undamaged bags
2. ambient temperature does not exceed 45ºC
3. avoid direct exposure to sunlight and weathering
4. The shelf life is 12 months when the package is in good condition and properly stored.

Package
To be packed in aluminum foil bag inside and kraft paper bags outside, 25kg net each; or damp-proof cabinets on pallet, 1000kg net each.
