Alcoa Inc. (AA) announced late Monday that it agreed to sell the remaining two U.S. soft alloy extrusion plants to Golden Aluminum, which is located in Warren, Ohio, and Plant City, Florida.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The aluminum company, headquartered in Pittsburgh, said that the two factories employ approximately 130 people and 200 people respectively.
This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of September.
Alcoa also said it plans to close its soft-alloy extrusion plant in Tifton, Georgia, by the end of October.
The company said it could not find a suitable buyer for this factory of about 200 people.
